Original Works

For boy-named-Orpheus reasons, I've often wondered what a continuation to the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice would look like- one where Eurydice has a song of her own, and the two lovers, working across life and death, seek a happier ending while encountering other mythological figures. After several trips to Greece and Rome, countless museum visits, adapting bestselling mythology graphic novels from Rick Riordan's work, and 156 pages of writing and drawing, that idea became Eurydice Lives Again

I set it in the 5th Century BCE, which would have meant nothing to me prior to all the aforementioned research, but is roughly when ancient Greece reached its pinnacle. I also learned along the way that Orpheus and Eurydice weren't Greek at all, but Thracian (modern Bulgaria.) I'm rolling it out through a touring model, so if you're an educator, librarian, or arts center administrator, I'd love to bring the program to you. Currently booking for Fall 2026.

Life is short, ride motorcycles! A novelty book in the style of "The Worst Case Scenario" detailing Art and the Zen of Motorcycle Ridership, Maintenance, and Repair- a book I would have wanted prior to riding and for which there's nothing else similar (I looked!) To the extent specific information about acquiring motorcycles and learning to ride can be found, with occasional detours into stealth help and folk knowledge. I wanted to offer something less like a textbook and more like a personal account for riders and non-riders alike, in Comic Strip Form!

MUNCH grew out of a curiosity about what it would take to raise a real-life Pokémon-like creature and what its natural history might be, informed by my own experiences trying (and often failing) to care for wild animals I adopted as a kid in Maryland, about 300 miles from the first reported Mothman sightings. The story developed into became a graphic novella about a kid who takes in a Very Hungry Caterpillar with an insatiable sweet tooth, following their unlikely friendship as it metamorphoses into a full-fledged Mothman action caper while they attempt to escape a high-tech pest control agency.

ALIEN BOYS tells the real-life story of multi platinum recording artist, director, scooter stuntman, beloved son, riding companion, world traveler, and friend Oliver Tree. Oliver and I started working together on music videos and designing characters, and creating Little Ricky,an alien with a sick mix tape, was an early collaboration. During the 2020 pandammit, when sets were shut down and touring paused, we turned the story into the Noble, not Nobel, Prize winning graphic novel.

Denied his chosen herbal medicine to overcome the aches and pains from a life in the music industry, Oliver Tree is threatened with replacement by Little Ricky, an Alien with a sick mix tape, in an epic battle that threatens to destroy them both.

Adaptations

It was a great pleasure adapting the Rick Riordan's novels in the Percy Jackson, Kane Chronicles, and Heroes of Olympus eries to graphic novels! Most the working hours were on the Kane Chronicles trilogy, which I fully adapted myself, and the rest with collaborators.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians

When Percy Jackson discovers he's the son of Poseidon, he must recover Zeus's stolen lightning bolt to prevent a war among the gods. That quest grows into the sprawling Percy Jackson & the Olympians and it's sequel series Heroes of Olympus. I adapted the graphic novels with artists Attila Futaki and Antoine Dode, and later went on to handle the Mark of Athena and House of Hades graphic novel adaptations entirely myself.

Originally published in hardcover and softcover by Disney Book Group, adapted from the novels by Rick Riordan.
